Kumari’s husband suspected her fidelity They used to quarrel frequently over this issue HYDERABAD: A woman police constable was found murdered at her house in Kukatpally Housing Board Colony on Sunday afternoon. Thirty-nine-year-old Kusuma Kumari’s was done to death with an iron rod. The murder came to light when she did not respond to one of her colleague’s phone calls. When he went to her residence to pick her up on his way to office, he noticed the main door partially open and found Kumari dead with serious head injuries. Kumari was working at the Charminar women’s police station for last the five years. Husband missingThe police said Kumari’s husband Bikshapathi could have committed the crime as he was missing since Saturday night and his mobile phone was also switched off. Bikshapathi, an auto-rickshaw driver, reportedly had frequent arguments with Kusuma Kumari suspecting her fidelity. A heated argument between the couple over the issue might have led to the murder, the police suspect. “The murder could have been committed when their two children were not around. We suspect Bikshapathi’s role in it as he remained untraceable since Saturday midnight. Efforts are on to nab him,” said Kukatpally Inspector V. Surender Reddy. Carpenter murderedIn a separate incident, a 24-year-old man was found murdered on a hillock at Asifnagar on Sunday morning. The victim was identified as Zahed (24), a carpenter and resident of Kishan Nagar. The police said some persons known to the victim could have stabbed him to death. Based on a complaint lodged by Zahed’s brother Mohammed Shakeeluddin, the police registered a murder case and launched a manhunt to nab the culprits.
