Man falls to death

CHENNAI: A 32-year-old man fell on Saturday evening while erecting a communications tower belonging to a private mobile service provider at Muthamizh Nagar in Kodungaiyur.

Police said that the victim, P. Bhakthavathsalam hailed from Vaniyambadi in Vellore and was working for his brother P. Bhupathi.

Bhakthavathsalam had climbed up a 50-foot-tall tower to fix some additional equipment. He was not using safety gear and died on the spot.
