Bangalore student killed in accident, six injured

Coimbatore: One person was killed and six others injured when a omni bus proceeding from Kottayam in Kerala towards Bangalore collided with a milk tanker near Madukkarai late on Sunday night.

In the impact the milk tanker fell on its sides and nearly 20,000 litres of milk got spilled on the roadside. Abhilash (24), a nursing college student from Bangalore who had just completed his course sustained injuries and succumbed to the same subsequently.

The bus driver Sibi and tanker lorry driver Karuppasamy sustained injuries besides four other passengers. A case has been registered in this connection.
