Award for Hindi officer

Hindi officer of Central Fisheries Santosh Alex has been selected for the Gargigupta Dwivageesh Award instituted by the Bhartiya Anuvad Parishad, New Delhi, for the year 2008. A Malayalam poet and multilingual translator, he has been chosen for the award for translating literary works from Malayalam to Hindi and vice versa. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 11,000, a citation and a memento.
