Health Department asked to check people coming from Punjab SHIMLA: The Deputy Commissioner of Kangra, R. S. Gupta, claimed on Tuesday that no case of swine flu had been detected in Kangra district so far. Reacting to a media report from Kangra, he said the Medical Superintendent of Zonal Hospital Dharamsala had visited the residence of the suspected swine flu patient along with a specialised medical team and found no symptoms of the disease in him. He said the patient would be kept under medical supervision for the next ten days and doctors would monitor him regularly. The Deputy Commissioner said directions have been given to the State Health Department to check the people coming from Punjab at all entry points. There was no need to panic and necessary arrangements had been made for action in case there were any signs of the disease anywhere. QuarantinedA young man named Ashok Kumar and his family from Kangra were quarantined for suspected influenza A H1N1. Mr. Kumar had flown back to Delhi from Bahrain on June 12 on the same Qatar Airlines flight in which the boys from Jalandhar had travelled.
