Convention on automobile fitness

HYDERABAD: Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in association with Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways will hold its annual convention, ‘Society for Automobile Fitness and Environment’ (SAFE) at Hotel Marriott here on Wednesday.
The theme for this year is ‘Safety through enforcement and inspection and certification’, said a press release.
Representatives from the government, Traffic Police Department and industry bodies from India, Japan, Netherlands, Germany, Philippines and Geneva will share their expertise in the area of enforcement and inspection and certification system, the release added.
Information on latest technologies in road safety, and inspection and certification system will also be displayed to the participants.
