Bhikshapati admits to killing his wife in a suicide note He was upset over her relationship with a colleague
HYDERABAD: Autorickshaw driver Bhikshapati ended his life by hanging in a lodge at Khammam on Wednesday. His wife Kusuma Kumari, a police constable, was found murdered in her rented house at Kukatpally three days ago.
A suicide note purportedly written by Bhikshapati stated that he had murdered his wife Kumari, angered over her alleged relationship with another constable Nageswara Rao working in the Hyderabad Detective Department. According to Khammam One Town police station SI, Ramanujam, Bhikshapati checked into City Lodge on June 14, a day after his wife’s murder.
Since then, he stayed in the lodge and was last seen on Tuesday morning. The lodge workers smelt a rat as he did not come out till Wednesday morning. The housekeeping staff peeped through the window when they went to clean the room and found it bolted from inside. They saw Bhikshapati’s body hanging from the ceiling fan and called in the police. A two-page suicide note found in the room stated that constable Nageswara Rao was responsible for spoiling his family life and even the neighbours knew about the illegal relationship he had with his wife.
