TDP team meets students in Australia

HYDERABAD: Indian students in Australia facing threats of physical attacks feel that Indian government’s response was not on expected levels, TD Parliamentary Party leader Nama Nageswara Rao and legislator A. Revanth Reddy said on Wednesday.

They are in Australia on behalf of the party to console and take up the issue of Indian students’ safety with the local authorities.

Speaking from Melbourne over phone, Mr. Nageswara Rao said students told them that they were being targeted during night while returning home after part time jobs.

Though most of them travelled by public transport, it was not so safe.
