Police officials transferred

KRISHNAGIRI: Krishnagiri Special Branch Inspector C. Murali was transferred to Naxalite Special Division, Dharmapuri, on Thursday.

Murali was in the limelight recently as his official car was stolen from Dharmapuri police station last week and was found abandoned in a forest pit near Thoppur.

Senthil Kumar, a constable attached to Kallavi police station, was arrested in this connection and later suspended from service.

Inspector Kannappan, Naxalite Special Division, Dharmapuri, was transferred to Krishnagiri town police station, J. Arulmozhi Arasu was shifted to Special Branch from Krishnagiri town police station.

Eriyur Inspector Sekar was shifted to Mettur in Salem district and Inspector of Jalakangapuram Krishnan was shifted to Eriyur.

The transfer orders were issued by Deputy Inspector General, Salem range, K. Vanniayaperumal on Wednesday.

Five sub-inspectors were transferred to various places in Krishnagiri district by Superintendent of Police Anisha Hussein on Tuesday.

According to police sources, Special Branch SI T. Muthamizh Selvarasan was shifted to Denkanikottai police station, Denkanikottai SI Umashankar was shifted to Krishnagiri town police station and Krishnagiri town SI Lakshmanadoss shifted to Thali police station.

Anchetti SI Ramamoorthy was shifted to Krishnagiri taluk police station and taluk police station SI Saveetha was transferred to Special Branch in SP office.
