‘A’ grade for arts college in Pudukottai

Staff Reporter

PUDUKOTTAI: The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NACC) has re-accredited J.J. College of Arts and Science here with “A” grade.

The college is the first self-financing college in the jurisdiction of the Bharathidasan University to be re-accredited with the grade, according to the Principal J. Parasuraman.

In a press release issued here on Thursday, he said that the college opted for accreditation within 10 years of its inception and was awarded with B++ with five-star status. Now, it has re-accredited with “A” grade.

The college, which has been offering 30 courses including 17 post-graduate courses, has planned to start three science courses – an undergraduate course in Fashion Technology and a couple of post-graduate courses in bio-informatics and nano technology this year, the release added.
