New Collector for Pudukottai takes charge

PUDUKOTTAI: A. Suganthi assumed office as the Collector of Pudukottai District here on Thursday. Till recently the Additional Collector of Vellore, she succeeds Reeta Harish Thakkar who has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to Government, Revenue Department.
She told newsmen that ensuring a responsive administration was her goal. She would take all steps for prompt execution of Central and state government-sponsored schemes for improving socio-economic status of the poor.
The District Revenue Officer R. Mahndravel was present.
