Elephants on the rampage

BERHAMPUR: A herd of wild elephants destroyed around 50 houses at Dadabadi, Rabatbadi, Baligeda, Kandabadi villages of K.Nuagaon block in Kandhamal district. About two days back this herd had damaged 33 houses of Sirtiguda panchayat of the district. According to forest officials this herd of around 20 elephants has strayed into the area from adjoining Lakhari elephant sanctuary.
