KATHMANDU: The decision of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) to remove Chief of the Army Staff, General Rookmangud Katawal, which eventually led to the fall of their government, has now been scrapped by the present coalition government led by CPN-UML. Thursday’s Cabinet meeting formally decided to retain General Katawal. The meeting has decided to change erstwhile government’s decision to retire Army Chief, said Minister for Information and Communications, Shankar Pokharel.
