VIJAYAWADA: Prem Sagar (90) helped Nellore gain a first innings lead of 28 runs against Kadapa at the end of the first day’s play in the two-day ACA South Zone u-19 tournament for T. Giridhar Reddy Memorial Trophy at Anantapur on Thursday, according to information reaching here. In another match, Anantapur made 38 for two, in reply to Kurnool’s 202 in 76 overs. The scores: Kadapa 130 in 44.5 overs (Ahmed 55, Prasanna Kumar four for 42, Sufiyan three for 16) vs. Nellore 158 for six in 43 overs (Prem Sagar 90, B. Reddy three for 27). Kurnool 202 in 76 overs (Vikram Surya Teja 44, Sabari Girinath 43, Sivacharan Singh 42, Fareeruddin three for 15, Naresh Kumar three for 36) vs. Anantapur 38 for two in 12 overs.
