Sathiyan, Swetha get top billing

CHENNAI: G. Sathiyan and Swetha Kumaravel have been given top billing in the men’s and women’s singles category respectively at the Tristar Table Tennis Club-conducted State-ranking tournament that begins here on Friday.

The tournament has attracted over 500 entries across various categories.

The seedings:

Men: 1. G. Sathiyan, 2. Sivananda Seshadri, 3. R.S Raja, 4. M. Subhash; Women: 1. Swetha Kumaravel, 2. N. Sathyabama, 3. Nishanti Kumaravel, 4. N. Arul Selvi.

Junior boys: 1. G. Sathiyan, 2. S. Sudarshan, R. Anand Raj, 4. K. Bhuvaragavan; Junior girls: 1. N. Vidya, 2. V. Sneha, 3. Divya Rajaram, 4. P.D Subhadra.

Sub-junior boys: 1. Shasank Yogesh, 2. Sachin Vishwanath, 3. V. Abhinay, 4. K.R Rohit; Sub-junior girls: 1. Amrita Pushpak, 2. R.K.E. Ugthi, 3. S. Shanmathi, 4. B. Priya. Cadet boys: 1.
