Child labourers rescued

ADILABAD: The Labour Department and the Rajiv Vidya Mission (RVM) on Friday freed seven child labourers in town during a special drive as part of the Badibaata programme.
The children have been shifted to a relief centre established for the purpose at Pragati chool. Adilabad Assistant commissioner of Labour T. Yadagiri said the children will be subjected to counselling at the centre. RVM Project Officer S. Vishwanath Rao, Adilabad Mandal Education Officer Kishan and others from police department and the National Child Labour Project participated in the drive.
