Hazaribagh: Five armed men looted about Rs.33 lakh from a bank in Hazaribagh on Friday, about 75 km from Ranchi, and fled away after locking the bank staff inside the toilet. The looters, who came posing as customers early in the morning at the United Commercial Bank, held all the four bank officials hostage at gun point, district Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kamboj said. They snatched keys of the strong-room from the staff and fled away with the cash from the chest after locking them inside the toilet, branch manger B P Bhattacharya told newsmen here. Later customersentered the bank after the incident and rescued the bank staff from the bathroom.- PTI
