Kozhikode: The All Kerala Bank Employees Federation has urged the management of leading banks to appoint security personnel in all branches in the wake of increasing number of heists at financial institutions in the State. At present, majority of the banks and ATM counters function without any security staff. Gold ornaments and other valuables are being kept at the banks, P. Radhakrishnan, federation district secretary, said in a press release here on Friday.
