Set up advisory committee: SICCI

CHENNAI: Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) has urged the Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to set up an Industrial Advisory Committee to guide the government.

In a press release, SICCI president M. Balasubramanian said that there was also a need to set up Investment Facilitation Desk and form sector-wise working groups to facilitate higher investments inflow into the State.

He also welcomed the bifurcation of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board in compliance with the Electricity Act 2003 and said it was a step in the right direction.

The unbundling proposal would also pave way for further reforms.
