Russian military plane violates Indian airspace

MUMBAI: A Russian military cargo aircraft AB-24 with six passengers and two crew members on Friday night intruded into Indian airspace from Pakistan and was forced to land at the international airport here.

As the plane entered the Indian airspace without the right code, it was escorted to the Mumbai airport by Indian Air Force planes, a spokesman of the Mumbai International Airport Limited told PTI here. The aircraft was forced to land around 10.40 p.m. after being allowed by the Air Traffic Control.

Security forces have surrounded the aircraft. — PTI
