Four NDFB militants killed in Assam

GUWAHATI: Four militants of the National Democratic Front of Boroland were killed in two separate encounters with the security forces in Kokrajhar and Sonitpur districts of Assam on Saturday.

At Kachugaon, 20 km northeast of Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar district, three militants were killed in an encounter with the police and the Army. Three 9 mm pistols, five grenades, 27 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, extortion notes, a car and a motorbike were recovered. In the other encounter at Hathigate in Sonitpur district, a militant was killed. A 9 mm pistol and four rounds of ammunition were recovered.
