CHENNAI: Big banner and leading actors apart, ‘Aadhavan,’ starring Suriya and Nayanthara, is triggering expectations among audience for a host of reasons.

Veteran actor Saroja Devi will feature in this movie and her character is said to be significant. She is acting in a Tamil movie after a decade since her last movie ‘Once more,’ where she was cast opposite Sivaji Ganesan.“It has been over 12 years since I acted in a Tamil movie. I am looking forward to performing in a movie directed by someone as talented as Ravikumar. Acting along with Suriya is also such a pleasure as I have always liked his performances,” said Saroja Devi, who added that she would speak more about the reason for choosing this movie to break the lull in her film career after its release. K.S. Ravikumar, director of the movie, said: “I have grown up admiring the acting prowess of Saroja Devi. When I approached her with a suitable role in this movie, she conceded and it was a bonanza for our team.” Slated to release this Deepavali, the movie is shaping up as a complete entertainer with an extra dose of comedy. Suriya will play a negative lead role in this movie, sources said. Another exclusive feature of this movie is that a song sequence is being shot at select places in Iceland, where James Bond movies were shot. The film’s shooting was also held at Karaikudi, Darjeeling, Kolkata and Delhi. Vadivelu, Murali, ‘Fefsi’ Vijayan, Ramesh Kanna, who has scripted the story, Shayaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, Anand Babu and Manobala are part of the cast. Art is by Rajeevan and Music by Harris Jeyaraj.
