Kadapa boy’s body to arrive from London today
HYDERABAD: Efforts by the Chief Minister’s Office and the Minister for Non-Resident Indian Affairs D. Sridhar Babu have finally fructified with the United Kingdom officials making arrangements to send the body of a student from Andhra Pradesh, who died in London, to India.
Konduru Hemasundara Raju, native of Konetivandapalli village in Veerabelli mandal of Kadapa district, who was pursuing master’s course in Pharmacy in Greenwich University, died in a London hospital more than a week ago due to brain tumour. Raju, who had completed his master’s degree, was admitted into King’s Hospital in London on June 6 died on June 10.
Funds raised
After Teluguon.com, a website broke the news about the body of Hemasundara Raju lying in the London Hospital, the local Telugu Association of London representatives raised funds to send the mortal remains to his native place. A press release issued here stated that British officials finally agreed to send the body after the CMO and NRI Affairs Department got in touch with them. The body is expected to arrive on Monday.
