Body found in farm

PUDUKOTTAI: The body of a 40-year old woman, Thiruvai was found in an agricultural field at Puthambur here on Sunday with multiple injuries. The Tirugokarnam police seized the body and have registered a case.
The police arrested two persons, Marimuthu (50) and Pandian (60) at their residences here on Sunday and seized from them ‘ganja’ weighing about 2 kg. The Tirugokarnam police have registered a case.
A 43-year old cyclist, who was admitted to the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital after being hit by a private college bus here on Friday, succumbed to the injuries on Sunday.
Police said that the cyclist, Pazhanisamy, was going to his residence at Kaveri Nagar, when he was hit by the bus near the Collectorate campus on Friday.
