SIFAA office-bearers meet Chief Minister

CHENNAI: The newly elected office-bearers of the South Indian Film artists Association (SIFAA) headed by its president R. Sarathkumar, on Sunday, met Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and Deputy Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and submitted three charter of demands.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Sarathkumar said the office-bearers had requested the Chief Minister to consider the earlier proposal of the DMK government to allot 20 acres of land to provide house sites for poor artistes.

They also demanded adequate representation for actors in the National Film Development Council and in the censor board. — Special Correspondent
