Tharoor for cautious response

Staff Reporter

Thrissur: Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor on Sunday said the government should respond with caution to attacks on Indian students in Australia.

Talking to journalists at Thalikkulam, near here, Mr. Tharoor said Indian officials were doing their best to address the issue. “But we should act cautiously and diplomatically. We should remember that similar incidents have happened in India too. Australians have been killed here. Officials are doing everything possible and the current issue will be dealt with effectively,” he said.
