Ward committee chairman dead

NEW DELHI: Surjeet Singh Thekedar, Deputy Chairman of the Civil Lines Ward Committee, passed away here on Sunday. He was 65.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president J. P. Agarwal and Municipal Commissioner K. S. Mehra were among those who attended his cremation at Nigambodh Ghat. Mr. Thekedar was also chairperson of the Delhi Pradesh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
