Body found with cut injuries

KARUR: A 30-year-old person was found dead near Mayanur in Karur district on Tuesday.
Police said that A. Saravanan of Sevaganur near Kovakulam had left his home on Monday. But he did not return home that night. On Tuesday, his body, bearing cut and hack injuries, was recovered from Kovilpatti, the neighbouring village on Sevaganur-Kuchipatti road.
Cash amounting to Rs.4,000 and a mobile phone were recovered from his person and his two-wheeler was found intact. Mayanur police are investigating. Superintendent of Police R. Dhinakaran inspected the scene of crime.
