Sarmukh in semifinals

NEW DELHI: Sarmukh Singh defeated Pranay Arya 21-14 to reach the men’s singles semifinals of the Pandit Tirath Ram memorial badminton tournament at the Shaheed Bishen Singh Memorial School (Mansarover Garden) here on Wednesday.

The results (quarterfinals):

Men: Srikant Bakshi bt Karan Bhagat 21-13; Sarmukh Singh bt Pranay Arya 21-14; Rishabh Batra bt Gaurav Dhingra 21-11; Amit Sharma bt Mukesh Kumar 21-10.

Boys: Under-19: Sarmukh Singh bt Sachin Gandhi 21-15; Hamad Aziz bt Gaurav Deswal 21-11; Rishabh Sehdev bt Sunny Kumar 21-18.

Under-16: Ankit Chikkara bt Siddarth Tanwar 21-16; Gaurav Deswal bt Hitesh Taneja 21-12; Hamad Aziz bt Sunny 21-16; Rishabh Sehdev bt Pranay Arya 21-18.
