Federation’s plea to State

Special Correspondent

BANGALORE: The State Government and Quasi-Government Departments/Organisations Vehicle Drivers Federation has urged the Government not to purchase luxury vehicles, which was a waste of public money.

Speaking to presspersons on Tuesday, federation president M.N. Venugopal and honorary president K. Ramakrishna said the GO allowing departments and other government establishments to hire private vehicles should be withdrawn. They charged that the officers had been violating GOs directing them to use only white Ambassador cars.
