Haridwar: A senior official of the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited was shot dead by unidentified men outside his residence at Shivalik Nagar locality here on Thursday. 55-year-old Dalchand, the Assistant General Manager of BHEL’s turbine section, along with his wife, was going in his car when three motorcycle-borne gunmen shot him, police said, adding that he died on the spot. His wife was also injured in the incident and has been admitted to the hospital, they said. A property dispute is suspected to be the reason behind his killing.
