Honour: B. Arumuga Pandian, Rotary district governor nominee honouring A. S. M. Kyadudyn, past president, Rotary Club of Ramnad in Ramanathapuram on Wednesday. RAMANATHAPURAM: B. Arumuga Pandian, Rotary district governor nominee, has urged the Rotarians to develop competitive approach among them to serve the society better. Speaking at a charter night 2009 hosted by the Rotary Club of Ramnad, he said it was good to see that Rotary clubs situated in economically weaker areas had done well in implementing several projects aimed at masses. Rotary clubs should take a vow to excel each other in community services. It would not only improve the image of the service organisation but also personal image of those undertaking the projects. Appreciating the Rotary Club of Ramnad for getting 40 awards in several categories among the clubs in Rotary district, Mr. Pandian said it became possible as it had taken up many projects with innovative approach. Similarly, Rotarians should develop competitiveness among themselves to do innovative projects. He honoured Paul Harris Fellows A.S.M. Kyadudyn, Fathima Chinnadurai, M. Somasundaram, K. Joseph Rajan, K. Nagarathinam and others. J. Dhinesh Babu, P. Muniasamy, president and secretary of Rotary Club of Ramnad, E. Lakshmanan, president elect and others took part.
