Bank clerical aspirants in a fix

Aspirants for the posts of clerks in Bank of India are in a fix. The bank has issued a notification for recruitment of 1,750 clerical cadre posts all over the country. The last date for submission of applications online is Saturday.

Candidates have to pay a challan for Rs.250 and enter the number given on it in their online application. Hundreds of candidates from the city have been unsuccessfully trying to open the website during the last two days for submission of online applications. “We have contacted our Head Office in this regard. Our higher ups want candidates to open the website late in the night or early in the morning for quick access,” said an official, who preferred anonymity.
