All-round show by Sufyan

NEW DELHI: Sufyan Alam’s fine all-round show helped L.B. Shastri Club thrash Balaji Academy by nine wickets and enter the semifinals of the Gyaneshwar Prasad memorial cricket tournament at the MSM ground here on Friday.

The scores: Balaji Academy 113 in 27.3 overs (Vinay Kumar 34, Dharmender Singh 31, Siddarth Sehwag three for five, Sufyan Alam three for 28) lost to L.B. Shastri Club 114 for one in 20.2 overs (Sufyan Alam 64 n.o., Sajan Malhotra 39 n.o.).
