Rane challenges charge sheet

Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has, through a petition before the Bombay High Court at Goa, challenged the charge sheet filed against him by the police in the “threat to kill social activist Aires Rodrigues” case.

The petition, filed on Saturday, will come up for hearing before a Division Bench comprising Justice B.P. Dharmadhikari and Justice U.D. Salvi on Monday.

After reprimanded by the High Court, the Goa police charge sheeted Mr. Rane on May 8, 2008.
