Letters to the Editor
Michael Jackson — the king of pop — was an icon for millions of young music and dance lovers across the globe. Many treat him as their role model. My appeal to all such fans is “treat him — and not his bizarre acts — as your model for entertainment.” N. Nagarajan, Secunderabad Your editorial “Pop’s most spectacular act” (June 27) pays apt tribute to the pop singer. Jackson was certainly an unparalleled entertainer. His dance moves, moon walk, etc., produced a magnetic effect which transformed his music into iconic pieces of pop art. Unfortunately, his fame brought in its wake some bizarre behaviour, scandal and an unhealthy private life affecting both his reputation and his health. S. Janakiraman, Coimbatore N. Dharmeshwaran, Guduvancherry
