Statistics Day celebrated

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Sample Survey Organisation, under the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, celebrated Statistics Day on Monday to create awareness among the public of the role of statistics in socio-economic planning and policy formulation. Quizzes, seminars and debates were organised at the Department of Statistics, University of Kerala, Karyavattom, and at St. Thomas College, Pala, for the students of Mahatma Gandhi University. — Special Correspondent
