More messages expressing sorrow at the death of Mr. Kasturi Srinivasan, Editor of The Hindu, have been received by the members of the family. Dr. Urs Schwarz, Chairman of the Executive Board, International Press Institute, Zurich, in a message said: “There is no doubt that in the death of Mr. K. Srinivasan, India has lost one of its greatest journalists. At the same time, we in the IPI have lost a faithful and long-standing member who has formed part of our Indian National Committee and has also been a member of our Executive Board. We will miss the wise counsels of a man of outstanding integrity and common sense.” Dr. Monica Felton writes: “As one who has often had the privilege of contributing to The Hindu and who has received much help and consideration from those associated with it, I feel I cannot let this period of mourning pass without expressing my own grief at the great loss which has been suffered not only by those who knew Mr. K. Srinivasan personally, but by many who, like myself, did not have the good fortune to know him.”
