Sehwag visits the NCA

Bangalore: Virender Sehwag made a quick visit to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) here on Monday for an assessment on his injured shoulder that forced him out of the Indian squad at the recent ICC World Twenty20 in England.

Sehwag, subsequently underwent a surgery to rectify the shoulder tear, and his visit to the NCA is part of his rehabilitation process though doubts remain over his availability for the Champions Trophy in South Africa during September.

At the NCA, Sehwag spent time with physio Paul Close, who analysed the opener’s injured shoulder. — Principal Correspondent
