Making inroads: M.P. Rajan, Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka, at the launch of the mobile publicity campaign in Bangalore on Wednesday. BANGALORE: The Chief Postmaster General Karnataka, M.P. Rajan, flagged off the department’s mobile publicity campaign vehicle from Palace Road Post Office to spread awareness about postal life insurance policies. Briefing presspersons afterwards, he said the Postal Department was offering two major insurance policies: Postal Life Insurance for the general public and the Rural Public Life Insurance for the rural public, weaker sections and women workers in particular. “Our policies offer better annual returns compared to other insurance products, including the LIC. Unfortunately, a lot of people are not aware of these policies and through this mobile campaign we hope to reach out to them and catch up with our competitors in a big way,” he said. The mobile vehicle will be on a two-month-long tour covering all of Karnataka, stopping at each district for a couple of days. A marketing executive on board will answer public queries.
