Panel call to stand united

KOCHI: The Kerala Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Protection Committee has called for a unified stand among these communities based on a common minimum programme (CMP).

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, chairman of the committee K.V. Kumaran said the unity move should start from the panchayat level.

The communities should field their own members as independent candidates in the forthcoming panchayat elections. — Staff Reporter
