BMRCL contractor to go

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., (BMRCL) has said it would offload the contractor of civil works of construction of the viaduct on Reach 3 between Swastik and Yeshwanthpur because of delay in the execution of the work. In a release, BMRCL said the viaduct construction work for a distance of 5.1 km was assigned to IDEB – SUCG JV on November 7, 2008 at a cost of Rs. 209.57 crore. The contractor was lagging behind in terms of time by about four months and the progress had been only 8 per cent of the targeted piles to be completed.
