Staff Reporter

KOCHI: A passenger in the Mumbai-Kanyakumari Jayanti-Janata Express (Train Number 6381) was found drugged and robbed on Wednesday.

Sosamma Mathew, 53, of Thiruvalla settled in Mumbai, boarded the train from Mumbai. She was befriended by a person speaking Hindi and the stranger offered biscuits and water to her when the train reached Jolarpet.

Fellow passengers became suspicious when Ms. Mathew failed to regain consciousness even after the train reached Ernakulam North Railway Station at 5 a.m. on Wednesday. The RPF personnel took her to hospital. Her gold chain, bangles and Rs. 4,000 were missing.

The Railway Police have registered a case.
