“Revise recruitment rules”

PUDUCHERRY: The Unemployed B.Ed. Graduate Teachers’ Welfare Association has demanded immediate revision of recruitment rules of teachers to facilitate direct appointment of those who had completed B.Ed to teaching posts at high and higher secondary schools. According to a release, only 313 persons who completed B.Ed had been directly recruited as teachers in the last 10 years. A total of 1,118 persons who had completed Diploma in Teacher Education had been appointed in primary schools in the last six years.
