Slap story

Was it a slap? Or an attempt to grab someone which was mistaken to be a slap?

While there was little doubt in the common man about the forceful slap, on watching video clippings of the bank manager and public representative in Mahabubnagar, the politician in question came up with an explanation that it was not a slap at all.

With the bank employees taking to the streets and the incident attracting nationwide attention, the public representative appeared to have mellowed down and offered an apology later. But?
