CHENNAI: Vikas Sarwin entered the u-12 semifinals of the Augustine Thomas Cup State-ranking tennis tournament with a 7-5, 6-3 win over S. Soorya here on Thursday. Naveen Kumar, Vignesh Prabu, L. Aakash and M. Fahad are the semifinalists in the under-14 event. In the girls’ section, Kavya Balasubramaniam advanced to the semifinals of the under-12 category with a 6-4, 6-4 win over T. Kaveeya. The results:Boys (quarterfinals): U-14: Naveen Kumar bt R. Anish 6-3, 6-2; Vignesh Prabu bt Yuvaraj Venkatesh 6-0, 6-0; L. Aakash bt Jayanth Jayaraman 6-4, 6-0; M. Fahad bt Raswan Ravi 6-1, 6-0.
