Drama artistes list demands

Staff Reporter

KOLLAM: The Kerala Drama Workers Welfare Association has called upon the State government to entrust the conduct of the annual professional drama competition back to the Public Relations Department. At a press conference here on Saturday, its leaders alleged that the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, which conducts the festival now, was apathetic towards drama sector.

The association wanted drama to be included in all cultural events hosted by the government.

The 16th annual conference of the association will be held at the Sopanam Auditorium here on July 7. The conference will be inaugurated by Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran.
