3 militants killed in Manipur

IMPHAL: Police and security personnel gunned down three militants in two separate incidents in Manipur and recovered weapons.

On Friday morning personnel of 29 Assam Rifles shot dead two Muslim youths at Lilam centre, about 30 km from the police station at Tamenglong district headquarters in an encounter.

An AK-47 rifle with a bayonet and five rounds of ammunition and one magazine were recovered.

In another incident, police commandos and 12 Maratha Light Infantry personnel shot dead a youth.
