Manipur male transsexuals hail court ruling

IMPHAL: The male transsexuals in Manipur have welcomed the Delhi High Court ruling decriminalising homosexual relationships among consenting adults.
On Saturday some male transsexuals assembled to celebrate the ruling. They told journalists that they welcomed the ruling.
In Manipur, the male transsexuals have a very respectable place in society and are not looked down as nuisances and perverts.
They have been playing the women character roles in the famous open air theatre. They had bagged prestigious awards for their role from many parts of the country.
