Tributes to Syama Prasad Mookerjee

NEW DELHI: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi paid rich tributes to freedom fighter Syama Prasad Mookerjee on his birth anniversary on Monday.

The civic body organised a function at his statue on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Delhi Mayor Kanwar Sain, Deputy Commissioner (City Zone) Vijay Singh and municipal councillor Surendra Kharab were among those present.

Dr. Sain named a garden developed at a sanitary landfill site in Hastsal as Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Smriti Van.
